Audition Dates and Times
Auditions are across the hall from HPAC in room 203

Saturday November 1st 2:00-4:15
Sunday, November 2nd 6:30-8:45
Callbacks (if needed) will take place November 5th by invitation
Show dates are January 23 - February 8
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30PM
Sundays at 2:00PM
Rehearsals are Mondays-Fridays 6:30-9:30. We will be off the 2 weeks around the holidays.
Preparation
All roles are open for casting. We are seeking actors 18 and up.
Please come prepared with a list of conflicts between December 1 and January 17. No conflicts are allowed during tech week, which begins January 18, or during performance dates. You can get those conflicts out of the way by filling those out with your audition form here, printing it out, and bringing it with you all ready to go when you show up for auditions. If you have a headshot, please bring and attach to your form.
This slapstick comedy requires split second timing, athletic feats, and many hats. Please note: This show includes actors playing roles not usually associated with their perceived gender.
The 39 Steps is based on the Hitchcock movie by the same name. Unlike the source material, the stage show is really a play about how ridiculous it is to try to put a movie on stage. There are many costume changes, a bi-wing airplane crash onstage, and a chase on top of a moving train. All to clear the good name of our protagonist and save the world.

Auditions will consist of readings from the script, some of which can be found HERE.
Individuals will also be asked to create a zany scene using the props they are provided. You’ll be given an idea for a 30 second scene and will have 30 seconds to sort through what you have to work with and create it on the spot.
